Traveling in Style

Its about that time, ladies! Time to start traveling. Well maybe at least for some of us. Not quite for me yet though!

I love to travel. Waking up extra early to get to the airport 4 hours before takeoff (we like to be early), the outfit planning, the airport food, the overabundance of magazines, books purchased for my Nook.

I do like to put comfort high on my must list when I travel, but I still don't like to sacrifice fashion for it. My last look I created with the leggings is pretty much my go-to travel outfit. On more than one occasion I have sported that look. Its just comfy and classic for traveling! Plus, changing up the scarf you wear with it changes the whole look!

I created a few different looks that I think are so versatile for traveling (particularly flying):

~A jacket and/or a scarf is a must. Temp changes can be pretty drastic!
~Comfortable and easily removable shoes. (When I am in the car...barefoot. Airplane- sometimes socks!)
~Pants that can be moved around in easily like jeggings or leggings or a dress.
~Choose pieces that you will be able to wear on your vacation as well, not just for the traveling portion.

How To Wear White Jeans

If you are anything like me you are itching to wear white jeans! To me, that is a sure sign that the weather is getting warmer and spring is here! (Contrary to popular belief, you don't need to wait until Memorial Day to wear white)

Nothing irritates me more than people who "rush the season." Meaning, the first day of relatively warm temps, there are girls in camel toe shorts and sandals and guys in tanks and flip flops. People- its not that warm yet. No need to break out the strapless dresses just yet. How about a slow transition? I'm all about a slow transition.

That'y why I love white jeans (or any colored jeans for that matter). They are a great transition from cooler to warmer temps.

Weekend Inspiration Outfit

This weekend is going to be full of relaxation and spending time with my family. Sometimes weekends with no plans are so necessary. Don't get me wrong, I love a good party or traveling to visit family, but weekends at home with no plans are perfect.

Here is a little outfit that I plan on wearing this weekend. I recently purchased this amazingly comfy sweatshirt at Old Navy:

Unfortunately, its not available online right now (which is why it isn't with my Polyvore creation below). But, I was able to get it in a beautiful army green which I plan to add to the outfit below. I may have also gotten it in a bright orange too. I am so guilty of buying something that I love in multiple colors or patterns! They also have gray, blue, navy blue striped and a few others in store. Because the outfit is all about comfort the fedora is a must! Toss it on and go...cuts out so much getting ready time!!
