Although now I don't have the typical job where I have to dress up every day (or ever, really), I do know there are a lot of you out there that do have to dress up on a daily basis! I am sure when you buy something you like to buy it knowing you can wear it for work and play. You really get your money's worth if you can wear something multiple ways, right? Or maybe you have things you wear to work and think you could never wear it on the weekend or out to dinner because its not casual enough.
Here are a few examples of how you can take a simple blouse (does that make me old that I called it a blouse?) and transition it from work to play!
The first look is just your office, wear to work look. As much as I love how casual I can be with my job, I really do miss having to dress up every day! But then again, when I had to dress up every day I wished for a job where I didn't have to! The grass is always greener, right?

Swapping the skirt for some leggings is just one simple way to change the look. You really don't even need to change the shoes or accessories, but I opted to just to give it an even more different look than you "wear to work" outfit! I have both the leggings and the booties and I am in love with them!

For me, weekends are all about comfort. Typically a good portion of my weekend (besides when I am working) is spent doing things with my family, playing on the floor with my girls, running around outside, running errands. Obviously I still want to look put together and stylish, but comfort plays a role in that for sure. For this transition, I swapped out the leather leggings for jeans and added the cutest puffer vest ever! I paired the look with flats, but you could easily wear booties if you are headed somewhere that the flats would be too dressy for! (can I just say how much I want these flats. Like really want them. If by chance you are reading this Ryan- I will gladly accept them!!)

I love a good versatile piece. It certainly makes it that much more appealing on the hanger in the store, am I right? I am also picturing the top with a black blazer over it (my answer to pretty much everything), and even tucked into a pair of high waist jeans with a great pair of heels! The possibilities are endless!!
So next time you go shopping, think to yourself if you could wear that item more than one way- I bet you can!
