I thought it looked interesting...you know the whole, comes with a magnet that makes your nail polish look like a reptile thing.
Here is what you get...
The black square is the magnet that you need to use. Here is what you have to do:
1. Paint one coat of nail polish on one nail. Once that is dry then apply your second coat.
2. While the nail polish is still wet (so immediately after you paint) hold the magnet as close to the nail as possible for 5 seconds.
3. Move on to the next nail and repeat.
4. Apply top coat.
Or for you visual learners...
It goes on just like any other nail polish, and looks like any other nail polish. The change is obviously when you hold the magnet over the polish. Here is what the finished product looks like (my daughter even wanted in on the action):
It comes in several colors, so you do have some options to choose from:
My overall thought was that they were just ok. I am not sure is was worth the $10.99 that I spent at Target. Although an old man (one of my customers) said I had some sexy nails. He also drives a convertible with a giant sticker that says "GO TOPLESS" on the top of the windshield. I can't make this stuff up, people. Anyway....
~I messed up a few times because I was trying to hold the magnet as close as possible so I did end up having to touch up a few nails!
~In order to get the reptile look on the whole nail you kind of have to move the magnet across the whole nail instead of holding it in one spot. If you do the reptile look will only go on one spot of the nail.
~It sort of has the "reptile" look but also has just a downright blotchy look to it. It does not look as perfect as it does in the step by step picture above.
~You can use the nail polish by itself. You don't have to use the magnet each time which is a plus.
I think I could justify this purchase if it were just a little bit cheaper, but I don't think I will be spending the $10.99 to get any other colors!! Sorry, Essie...I love your nail polish, just not the Repstyle so much!
